A Great Day Off

While Thomas Fitzgerald remains on the Disabled List, utility man James Renwick fills in on this week's Fists of Fitz. I'm letting all of you know right now, I'm out there, working for you. I'm in Tucson, I'm in Phoenix, Surprise, Mesa, Peoria. I'm at practice, I'm talking to scouts and coaches and of course, the players. I'm flashing media credentials when I walk into men's rooms (and bars, grocery stores, gas stations...where ever I think I might get something for free).

I work hard, and like any red blooded American I'm always complaining about it. Don't get me wrong, I love my job, and I'm well aware there are about a billion people who would love to 'work' by going to baseball parks, going to watch grown men play a game. I consider myself lucky to see guys like Jason Bulger, Conor Jackson, Carlos Quentin and Jon Zeringue before they become household names...
