Karan Higdon has been committed to South Florida for roughly six months but that hasn't stopped other programs from recruiting him. Higdon, from Sarasota (Fla.) Riverview high school, has picked up scholarship offers from teams like Arkansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Iowa, Florida Atlantic, Dartmouth, Arizona and Syracuse.
Hidgon said yesterday via text message that he will visit some other schools this summer. That list includes two in the SEC (Arkansas and Kentucky) as well as Iowa. Higdon would also like to check out the Bulls.
There could very well be even more visits on the horizon, as teams continue to evaluate this three-star running back prospect. Programs like Notre Dame are showing significant interest in him and could end up offering at some point down the line.
It's only June and USF currently has only two commitments. The Bulls other commitment is running back Trevon Sands (Miami Southwest). His teammate, quarterback Deundre Picket-White just backed off his pledge to South Florida.
