| Biography: |
Bryan Augenstein went 5-0 with a 0.78 ERA in 34.2 Double -A innings before getting added to the 40-man roster and promoted to the majors. He replaced the injured Yusmeiro Petit in the D-backs' rotation. Augenstein posted a 7.94 ERA in two starts before being sent down to Reno.
Augenstein won 2008 FutureBacks Pitcher of the Year honors by leading the organization with a 2.75 ERA. He has one of the best sinkers in the system and throws it with exceptional accuracy. |
