Schlereth has moved quickly through the system after getting selected in the first round of the 2008 draft and fanning 20 batters in 12 pro innings. He followed that up with six strikeouts over four perfect playoff innings.
Schlereth began the 2009 season at Mobile, where he went 1-0 with a 1.42 ERA in 15 appearances before advancing to the big league squad May 29th. |
