Jarrod Parker earned a promotion to Double-A after just four starts with Visalia. The 20-year old phenom had gone 1-0 with a 0.95 ERA in 19 innings, striking out 21 while walking just four.
2008
The 9th overall pick of the 2007 draft had plenty of success at South Bend in 2008. He went 12-5 with a 3.44 ERA and averaged nearly one strikeout per inning as one of the youngest players in the Midwest League.
