| Biography: |
Hankerd really struggled at Mobile in 2008, but rebounded to win Offensive Player of the Year honors in the final Hawaiian Winter League. He begins the 2009 season in Mobile once again, but figures to improve significantly on his .245 average, five homers, and 52 RBI from a year ago.
Hankerd battled a wrist injury for much of 2007, but nevertheless hit .285 with a team-leading 27 doubles. He was hit by a whopping 19 pitches last year, which makes his coaches nervous about future injury. |
