Sosa began the 2008 season on fire, then settleddown to merely decent offensive numbers. It was enough to advance him to Double-A for the start of the 2009 season.
2008
Sosa was injured for most of the 2007 season, and hit just .202 in the limited action that he did see. He also committed five errors in just eight starts at third base. It is surprising that he was named to Visalia's roster to begin the 2008 season, but it's also understandable that the team would not want to hurt his morale by having him play in South Bend for a third straight season. |
