2009
Former outfielder Leyson Septimo was added to the 40-man roster as a pitcher in November. He was very wild in big league camp this spring, having walked five batters and allowed six runs over two innings.
2008
Septimo converted from outfielder to relief pitcher in the Fall Instructional League. His fastball has been clocked at 96 MPH, but he still has a lot to learn about pitching. |
