| Biography: |
Jackson went on the disabled list on May 12th with "general illness." He had been batting just .182 with five extra ase hits in 99 at-bats.
Jackson entered 2009 as the team's starting left fielder after having spent most of his professional career at first base. He batted .300 on the year with much improved baserunning, but failed to hit a home run in his final 200 at-bats (.300 SLG).
2007 Highlights
* After the All-Star break, led the team with a .308 AVG and finished second with a .371 OBP and .555 SLG.
* Made his first major league putouts at 3B and LF in emergency duty
* Grounded into 10 fewer double plays than in 2006
