This is indeed the son of the Jesse Orosco who played with nine different MLB teams, then signed with the Arizona Diamondbacks as a 46-year old in November of 2003 shortly before retiring. Jesse Orosco Jr. signed within a week of his 38th-round selection by the Arizona Diamondbacks.
On June 30th, he, Miles Reagan, and Bryan Shaw combined to pitch a no-hitter. Orosco was perfect in his three innings of middle relief to collect his first professional win. |
