Throws: L
Date of Birth: 05/09/1986

Biography:

Daniel was selected 26th overall by the Arizona Diamondbacks after shunning Oakland's offers last season. He is the son of ex-Washington Redskins and Denver Broncos offensive lineman Mark Schlereth.

This selection addresses the Diamondbacks' need for left-handed pitching out of the bullpen. Of some concern, however, is that Schlereth has already endured Tommy John Surgery and a broken rib in his amateur career. His senior year was marked by impeccable health, increased velocity, and imroved command.
