Henry was the second of three Florida State players drafted by the Diamondbacks last season, joining 9th rounder Mark Hallberg. He is a control pitcher who gets ahead in counts and pitches to hitters' weaknesses. His professional career began at 3-0 2.36 before he started running into difficulties.

He made one start in 2008 before #1 pick Jarrod Parker entered the South Bend rotation. Henry now serves as swingman for the team, making spot starts as necessary, but primarily working in long relief.
