| Biography: |
Evan Frey got selected in the 10th round of last June's draft, then finished 5th in the Northwest League in batting (.309) and tied for 3rd in triples (6). He led the Diamondbacks' short-season clubs in runs (48), hits (76), triples (6), and tied for the lead in stolen bases (13).
Frey will always be a fan favorite due to his blazing speed in centerfield and on the base paths. He began the 2008 season hitting near .400, and is considered one of the best pure hitters on the Silver Hawks. |
