| Biography: |
The Diamondbacks signed Romero as a minor league free agent from the Twins organization. He worked his way to become the Snakes' 19th best overall prospect, then a great spring thrust him onto the major league stage over veteran Trot Nixon.
Sparse playing time necessitated a move to Triple-A, but when Eric Bynes went on the DL in late May, Romero and his .331 Tucson batting average got a chance to consistently play in the majors. |
