"Cabeza Grande" tossed eight innings in five spring games, posting a 2.57 ERA while walking three and striking out five. The 23-year old pitched in last year's All-Star Futures Game for the Nationals before coming to Arizona in the August trade for Chris Carter, who was immediatly dealt to Boston afterwards.
Fruto has a good chance of seeing time in the majors this year. |
