| Bartlett, recently acquired in the deal that sent Delmon Young to the Minnesota Twins, enters the 2008 season as the Rays' starting shortstop.
Known for his excellent range, he is a capable defender who could contribute offensively at the bottom of the Tampa Bay lineup.
Only 28 years old himself, he is keeping the seat warm for Reid Brignac, who is considered as the Rays' shortstop of the future. |
