| Biography: |
Carter drew comparisons in the White Sox organization to Frank Thomas due to his gigantic size at such a young age. While he has not yet displayed anywhere near the plate discipline of the Big Hurt, he is clobbering the ball at an appropriate pace. In 2007, Carter established Kannapolis records with 25 homers and 93 RBI while batting a robust .291.
The Diamondbacks acquired Carter for Carlos Quentin, who had a disappointing 2007 season, and blocked the way for several outfield prospects, most notably Carlos Gonzalez. |
