2006 Season:
Branyan hit .201 with 12 home runs and 27 RBI for Tampa Bay before being dealt to San Diego on August 24. There, he batted .292 with six homers and nine RBI in 27 games. He started 26 of the last 33 games at third base, and all four Division Series games against the Cardinals.
Career Notes:
A seventh round draft pick of the Indians in 1994, Branyan has compiled a lifetime mark of .229 with 120 home runs and 298 RBI in 695 games with Cleveland, Cincinnati, Milwaukee, Tampa Bay, San Diego and Philadelphia. He enjoyed a 20-homer season for the Indians in 2001 and combined for a career-high 24 homers with the Indians and Reds in 2002.
