| Biography: |
| D'Antona was once one of the 'Three Amigos' along with Conor Jackson and Carlos Quentin. A combination of poor strike zone recognition and injury had held him back, but a solid 2006 season has reestablished him the the top third base prospect in the system. He has further enhanced his desirability by adding the catcher's position to his repertoire during the end of 2006 and in the AFL. The power-hitting third baseman came out of the gate thumping in Tucson with 12 hits in his first 16 at bats.
