| Biography: |
| It's been a long time coming, but Carlos Quentin has finally reached the big leagues, and a funny thing happened along the way. All the pressure was taken off of him. Quentin has long been considered one of the three or four top prospects in the organization, and has been 'Major League Ready' for a minimum of three seasons before this one, but in 2007 the right field job is his for the first time. Quentin has power, and his .342 OBP far outweighed his .253 batting average in the front office's mind during his second half call up in '06. With Chris Young, Miguel Montero and Stephen Drew all moving into starting roles this season as well Quentin will not spend as much time under the microscope as his good friend Conor Jackson did during the 2005 season, but expect big things from the right fielder. |
