Biography:
Look at the roster and he's listed as a catcher, but last season at South Bend Castillo was a catcher, first baseman, third baseman, left fielder and right fielder. According to scouts, he was the best defender on the team at three of those positions. At just 5'10"/170lbs he may be too slight to remain behind the dish, but he also may not be done growing. A slap hitter with some speed and a strong arm, expect Castillo to find the diamond often, even if it is in the 'super sub' role, which has earned him a promotion this season to Double-A, and even a brief stint in Triple-A in '06.
