| Biography: |
| Originally drafted in the first round out of Virginia Tech in 2002, Saunders missed all of the 2003 season with shoulder trouble.
In 2004, Saunders returned to active duty in the Cal League and posted solid numbers before a promotion to Arkansas for the final two months of the season.
He returned to the Travelers to begin the 2005 season but ascended the ladder and ultimately made two starts for the major league club late in the year.
In 2006, Saunders was one of the final cuts in big league camp.
