| The Diamondbacks ninth round pick in the 2005 draft out of Baylor, Ford has quickly established himself as a dark horse candidate for the title of 'catcher of the future' behind Miguel Montero. After a year in Short Season A Yakima, Ford skips Lo-A South Bend and will be the everyday catcher at Hi-A Lancaster this season. Watch for Ford's power to develop this year, but don't be fooled if it is only a modest improvement over his prior numbers, it will come. |
