| Biography: |
| Poor Danny Richar. Signed as non-drafted free agent in 2002, Richar started his pro career by flashing a cannon arm and surprising power in the Short Season Northwest League (Yakima), and took advantage of late season promotions and injuries to jump right to Hi-A. He stayed in Lancaster the following season, hitting over .300 but finding his sloppy footwork was causing wild throws. In 2004 he was given a brief Double-A stint, but barely stayed over the Mendoza line, and thus was moved right back to Lancaster, which is also where he stayed in 2005. Now, the once and future king of shortstop has finally gotten the chance to at Double-A, and at second base, where he was clearly more comfortable last season. |
