| Came to the Diamondbacks in 2005 from the Red Sox organization in the Jose Cruz Jr. trade and is another middle infielder without the pop or upside of Stephen Drew or Justin Upton. Smart, solid player who could again contribute as a fifth or sixth infielder at the Major League level, but will have to have an outstanding season to do it with the Diamondbacks. Expect Perez to see time at third base as well as second and short this year. |
