| Biography: |
| Scott Hairston was finally breaking out last season. In just 209 at bats at Triple-A Tucson last year he was hitting .311, had 16 dingers, 40 RBI and a .435 on base percentage thanks to 21 walks and five hit by pitches. Unfortunately that fifth one hurt a little more than the rest. In what can only be described as a freak occurance the ball hit his shoulder and dislocated it, causing an injury very similar to the ones D'Backs fans will remember from Richie Sexson. Surgery was next and then a rehab that went exactly as planned, and had Hairston ready for spring training. Still, he is probably not quite at 100% yet, and will head back to Tucson, where he joins a very crowded outfield with top prospects Chris Young, Marland Williams, and Carlos Quentin. |
