| Biography: |
In 2005....Towers led the Jays in wins (13) and innings pitched (208 2/3), but he also allowed more hits (237) than all but one other AL pitcher. Towers had just five outings that lasted less than five innings, but he pitched more than six innings 17 times. The right-hander had a streak of 12 straight quality starts from late July to late September. In the second half, he worked 105 innings and walked just 10 batters.
BIO:Married with one child... Attended Oxnard (CA) JC... Was named Conference MVP and Juco All-America... Graduated from Hueneme HS in Oxnard and was All-County... His uncle, Roger Frash, was an IF-OF in Mets organization from 1980-82... Hobbies are music and playing cards.
