2008 2nd-round draft selection Bryan Shaw did not start a single game at Long Beach State, coming to the Arizona Diamondbacks as a two-pitch reliever. Shaw has since added two more pitches to his repertoire and enjoyed a couple of strong starts for the first-place Visalia Rawhide.
