But with former scouting director Mike Rizzo having jumped ship to the Washington Nationals shortly after last year's draft, that's no guarantee of success this year. Tom Allison, now in charge of scouting, joins GM Josh Byrnes in attempting to bolster a farm system that has recently thinned a bit.
