On Friday the 13th the Diamondbacks and all four of their active affiliates lost, one day later it was a whole different ballgame, with starting pitchers turning in great performances at every level. A.J. Shappi was his typical brilliant self, Garrett Mock is putting his money where his mouth is, Adam Bass has a 15+ scoreless innings streak, and Edgar Gonzalez is making everyone forget about 2004.
