D-backs Balance Draft with College Outfielder

A.J. Pollock was chosen 17th overall, tying him for the highest selection ever for a Notre Dame Player. His selection came on the heels of the Arizona Diamondbacks' pick of Bobby Borchering, a high school third baseman that could take some time to develop. Pollock put up excellent numbers at Notre Dame and could advance through the system quickly.
