The Arizona Diamondbacks pitchers and catchers will report to Tucson, Arizona on
February 14th. The first workout for pitchers and catchers will be on Saturday,
February 15th, with the remainder of the squad scheduled to report on Tuesday,
February 17th and work out the following morning. Along with the players on the 40-man roster that will be in Tucson, the club has announced the invitations of 17 non-roster players.
The breakdown of non-roster invitees includes six pitchers, three catchers, three infielders, and five outfielders.
All of the Diamondbacks who participated in the Arizona Fall League have been
invited to camp. The full list of 2009 invitees includes:
Pitchers (6): Right-handed pitchers Hector Ambriz, Tony Barnette, Brooks Brown, Seth Etherton, and Reid Mahon,
plus left-handed pitcher Daniel Schlereth.
Catchers (3): Luke Carlin, Ed Easley, and John Hester.
Infielders (3): Ryan Roberts, Rusty Ryal, and Josh Wilson.
Outfielders (5): Evan Frey, Trent Oeltjen, Gerardo Parra, Chris Roberson, and Brandon Watson.
