Two D-Backs Land on Futures Game Roster

Highly-rated Diamondbacks prospects Emilio Bonifacio and Gerardo Parra will play for the World Team in the 10th annual All-Star Futures Game in New York.

Emilio Bonifacio, a Dominican native, has hit .307 with 15 steals for Triple-A Tucson this season.  Last year in Mobile, Bonifacio led the Diamondbacks' farm system with 41stolen bases, and earned a September callup as one of the fill-ins for the injured Orlando Hudson.  We ranked Bonifacio as the11th best prospect in the organization this April.

Gerardo Parra is a native of Venezuela.  He batted .301 with 11 stolen bases in Visalia, earning him a promotion to Double-A in early June.  In less than a month at his new level, Parra has hit .293 with 3 steals.  He led the Midwest League with a .320 batting average last year, and ranked as the 4th-best Diamondbacks prospect in our April rankings.
