Taylor Harbin, the Arizona Diamondbacks' 8th round draft selection, is now officially a professional ballplayer. The Clemson alumnus has signed with the Diamondbacks, and figures to be the primary second baseman in Missoula.

Taylor Harbin was moved from shortstop to second base at Clemson, but played primarily short his junior year when Clemson's starting shortstop was sidelined with health issues.

The Diamondbacks drafted him primarily as a second baseman, but appreciate the versatility that his athleticism and experience at shortstop provides. He helps fill an organizational void at second base created by the Danny Richar trade.

In addition to having an impressive three-year career at Clemson, Harbin set state home run records at Travelers Rest High School.
