Stuck behind two other excellent catchers in his first two years at Stanford John Hester has had some catching up to do. After receiving just 47 at bats in his Freshman and Sophomore seasons combined, Hester made enough of an impression in '05 to be the 33rd round selection of the Red Sox, but after coming back for his senior year the D'Backs were able to scoop him up in the 13th round. | |
