Scott Hairston Will Be Ready, "No Doubt"

On July 22nd Scott Hairston was hit by a pitch. It happens, but this time it was different, Hairston went under the knife August 11th to repair a torn labrum in his non-throwing shoulder, an injury Diamondbacks fans might remember, and want to forget. It's the same type of injury that ended Richie Sexson's year in 2004. Hairston is looking to come back strong in spring training '06,and had a simple message for D'Backs fans. "I have no doubt I'll be ready."

When Scott Hairston got hit by the pitch on July 22nd in Sacramento, it didn't appear to be anything serious. "It looked pretty routine," Chip Hale, Hairston's manager with the Tucson Sidewinders said, "I don't think anybody except Scott realized something was really wrong."
