Lefty Goocher Ready This Time Around

Last season Clint Goocher got a promotion for his birthday. Just after the lefty turned 22 years old the Diamondbacks moved him from Hi-A Lancaster to the Double-A Texas League Diablos. It was a big opportunity, and one that some might say got wasted. Goocher, who was 9-2 with a 3.67 ERA in Lancaster, went just 6-10 with an ERA nearing six in El Paso. He got his chance and blew it.
