Sources within the Diamondbacks say that Tony Pena’s gimpy elbow has been bothering him since the second week of Spring Training, but he never mentioned it to anyone. Instead Pena went out and put himself squarely in the mix for the #5 spot in the Diamondbacks rotation. A native of the Dominican Republic Pena speaks very little English, but Maria Hernandez gave him an opportunity to express himself in his native tongue.
