Prospect Profile: Erik Schindewolf

Unassuming and humble, his priorities clearly in place…meet Lancaster JetHawks second baseman and lead off hitter, Erik Schindewolf. He's the kid from Spring Texas who made his JetHawks debut with an opening day lead off home run in the first at bat of the season for Lancaster against High Desert on April seventh.

After watching him get in his pregame batting practice swings, the pleasure was mine to spend some time behind the batting cage with Schindewolf to speak with him about baseball, education and life in general.   Schindewolf, 23, was a 26th round draft pick in 2004 from Texas A&M and described playing for the Aggies as a “dream.” By the way, he managed to earn a degree in the field of engineering...
