As Spring Training approaches our workouts have been getting more intense and more refined. The concentration level on the field when we're taking ground or fly balls is amazing. Its like boot camp for baseball. Errors on ground balls and dropped fly balls are not tolerated. The environment is comparable to the ninth inning in a tie game. It's almost certain the ball is coming to you. Are you ready? Can you handle the pressure?
The intense training can teach you how to take a deep breath and slow the game down. Hey I'm really blessed to be in a situation to train with these guys. Its really great to watch Miguel train. This guy is a really good major league ball player, he is financially secure, and every team would love to have him play for them. With all that going for him he is probably one of the hardest workers I've ever met. Some guys would be satisfied to be in his situation but he isn't. He wants to get better and you can see it in his training. Can you say FOCUS, DESIRE, PASSION FOR THE GAME?
Well, is everyone excited about the upcoming season? Looks like our big league club is going to be really good this year. I want everyone to come out to support your Diamondbacks from the big league club all the way down to Rookie Ball. It's going to be a fun season for us all as players and fans. All the fun will start really soon in Spring Training. Come out to the spring games and get a jump on the excitement. I'll see you there.
