Q & A: El Paso Diablos Manager Scott Coolbaugh

Coolbaugh helps build D'Backs

For a young kid arriving in El Paso, Texas to play baseball, there has to be someone there to look up to, and for young Diablos like the newest Diamondback, catcher Chris Snyder, that person is Manager Scott Coolbaugh. A former Major League Baseball player, Coolbaugh knows first hand the glory and grit baseball can throw at a youngster. FutureBacks Associate Editor Chad Jones talked to Coolbaugh about the game, the ups and downs, and the players past, present and future, he coached.

Like most baseball players, El Paso Diablos manager Scott Coolbaugh knew he loved the game probably before he even knew what love was. "I think anybody that's played the game as long as I have realized that you loved it as soon as you picked it up," said Coolbaugh.
